Attention Truckers/Dispatchers/Freight Brokers

The Canadian Trucking Watchdog is investigating several reports of truckers being ripped off by a group of people targeting smaller companies offering them well paying freight when in fact it's a double-brokering scheme with no intention of making payment. There are victims across North America, victims include truckers that end up hauling freight for them and US/Canadian load brokers that are having their freight double brokered for more money then agreed. Many large brokerage outfits across the US are being scammed without knowledge. Internet Truckstop was advised last week and issued an alert to everyone. Please be careful folks, Quebec is a part of Canada where crimes like these are very common and very little is done by police forces to catch these criminals. The language of business in Quebec is french just like spanish is the language of business in Mexico. It appears that criminals take this advantage of this for their benefit. This particular scam involves a large amount of $$$, that's why we posted it on here for everyone to see and perhaps this will prevent further problems. THE SCAM IS STILL HAPPENING AS OF 11-06-09, THE LIST OF VICTIMS IS GROWING DAILY AS COMPANIES DISCOVER THEY'VE BEEN HAD BY THESE CREEPS. US victims are encouraged to contact the FBI or local law enforcement, this will oblige Canadian authorities to get off their fat ### and do something. We're really on our own up here, I have personally lost 16,000$, there will be no christmas for me. I just want others to know before it's too late. We work hard for our money, especially flatbed guys !~
