I hate new cars!

I hate new cars. Everything is so crammed together it is impossible to see anything and impossible to get your hand in anywhere without taking half the engine compartment out. My old Chevy truck was perfect. I could sit in the engine comparment and reach everything. Everything was easy to figure out. Things were simple to fix, and if I couldn't fix it myself at least I knew what the problem was and I didn't look like a moron going into a shop. My Monte Carlo on the other hand, sucks!!!!! Just to even get to the battery on this car is a major ordeal. I have a leak in my cooling system, but do you think I can figure it out? Heck, I can't even see anything under there. They make everything so difficult to work on these days.

The dealer in my town is such a crook. The last time I had it there for simple warranty work, they created more problems than they solved. Didn't even find out about the radiator problem they created until it was in the body shop over a year later.

Yeah, it's pretty sad. Both the guy's kids have been in my classes the last few years. Don't want to bad talk the dealership. But I hate seeing his wife cruise up to school in a different car every month. Although now she doesn't switch cars anymore, I guess she found one she can stick with. It's not even a Chevy, some advertising for your own dealership.

I love my little 1990 Subaru -- you open the hood and everything is right there. The car is very basic -- no a/c, no power windows, locks, seats... nada. It's pretty much a dream to work on.

But I remember when I got married, my husband had a 1972 Malibu Classic. It got really crappy mileage... and I remember once replacing the plugs in it. The last two plugs were tight up against the firewall, and with all the junk in the engine compartment, I had to go in through the wheel wells to reach them.

Smart looking car at the time, but a real gem when there were problems!
