For those who may not know, Indian was the first manufactured American motorcycle, built in Springfield Massachusetts from 1901 to 1953, since then many companies have bought the rights to use the Indian name, though none of them were really successful

My Indian is undergoing complete restoration, so far I have the frame and front end painted ready to go, t has the original 74 cu in. motor, 3 speed tranny, right hand shift left hand throttle, the motor and trans are in the process of being rebuilt, the tanks and fenders are ready for paint,

I have owned many bikes, I still have my old 79 shovelhead I have owned since I was 18, I have owned Triumphs and Nortons, but I come from a family where Indians were the bike of choice.
