By KATHY BARKS HOFFMAN |Associated Press Writer6:30 PM CDT, April 3, 2008LANSING, Mich. - David Sneath has worked at a [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. parts warehouse for 34 years, but it didn't take him any time at all to walk out once he discovered he had won a $136 million Mega Millions jackpot.
"I yelled to the boss, 'I'm out of here,'" Sneath said Thursday after going to state lottery headquarters in downtown [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. to pick up his first $1 million check.
Sneath, of Livonia in suburban Detroit, said the reality of his win has yet to sink in.
"I still haven't touched base with Earth yet," he said. When he saw in a newspaper that he had a winning ticket, "my whole body went numb."

Despite his longtime association with Ford, he said he won't be using any of the money to buy one of his former employer's vehicles.

You need to reed the article closer Ronno -

#1 He said "I worked for Ford - and I will not be buying a Foreign product."

#2 He was a supervisor - and was not union... (I assumed this was the route you were taking because you posted it in the Teamsters/OOida section)

#3 Only the forklift operators at FSI (Ford supply industries) are UAW - and their payscale is 16-22$ an hour.

After 2 years of towing my 6 liter F250 around and one final heated conversation with the gal in Detroit, she said, "We don't want people like you driving Fords." I said, "I'm not, I'm waiting on a tow truck to come drag it to the shop again." The next day I was in a new Dodge/Cummins and don't care if I ever own another Ford.

"If it ain't a nice Dodge, it ain't in my Garage"

I love Mopar... I also love Saabs, too bad GM owns em now.

I own a 2002 Saab 9-5 with a turbo, very fun car. Leather, heated and cooled seats, everything. I am looking into buying a Dodge Ram 1500 Crew-Cab this summer, because I need something that can haul a trailer again. When it comes to personal trucks... I won't buy anything but a Dodge.

Owned and drove Ford`s 34 years now

I just don`t have any trouble with them at all.Maybe it is because I am the only one to do any work on them.A Ford Aeromax pays my bills and feeds my family it is 15 years old and heading toward 2 million mile and going strong.

I'm sure he would've done so had they still been available. You can't get those anymore.

Yes the 7.3 was definitely superior to the 6.0. Ford had alot of problems with the 6.0, which were pretty much taken care of towards the end of their production. The earlier 6 liters were a crap shoot.

Hardly a reason to never buy another Ford though in my opinion.
