I have the 97 GT Mustang V8 , it has 64000 miles and goes great, it has a few after market parts which improve its performance. Mine is an an Auto much better for all the stop signs and lights here in the city. Gotta say I like the look of the new Stang.

While I don't mean to step on toes, I got to tell it the way it is... Muscle cars that are V6 powered automatics are for women and retirees.

I've owned two mustangs, one was a 66 mustang with a straight 6cyl auto and the other was a 94 GT conv with a 5spd manual and glass pack dual exhaust.
You just can't get the same enjoyment with the 6cyl. There's nothing like reving a V8 with a performance exhaust and then letting of the accelerator and listen to the purr as she settles down. If you can't afford a late model GT, get one a few years older. A brand new LX can't hold a candle (in the fun and pride depts.) to a 5 yr old GT.

I don't have a 300, but when I first rode in the 300C, I thought it was a damn nice car. Very sharp, very fast (the 300C, that is).

Comming from someone who owns a '67 and a '06 look at it this way they are just not making the 60's models anymore. I ordered my '06 with all the bells and whistles and if I had it to do over again I would NOT have got the leather I would have used the money to have custom upholstery done instead.

.
And the reason my '06 is an automatic is that I hurt both knees playing football in college on the womens team. Well my '67 is a standard and it kills my knee after I have driven around town all day sooo the '06 is automatic for that reason.......

I'm actually thinking about a V6 camaro, hang with me a sec and you'll see where I'm going. A few years back I owned a Buick Regal GS. This wasn't and old folks boat. It came with a supercharged 3.8 V6 making 240hp. In a perfect world I'd find myself a V6 manual camaro, plop that supercharged beast into it and have tons o fun. That's about the ONLY way I'd get one of those cars in a 6cyl though. It'd get decent mileage and be a sleeper at the stop light at the same time.

yes and ther is nothing wrong with cmaroes I just always loved the mustangs and I come from a GM/chevy family to boot. I had a souped up toronado and it could scream my dau took it to the strip and said it had no prob doing triple didgets...could a killed her....then I traded for an Aurora v-8 yea it flat out moves BUT my v-6 mustang smokes the Auroa no problem and I was setting next to a GT the other day and listened to it start up....NO difference in it and mine! Mine flat out screams and 80 feels like 60 so I have to be careful. and for me the speed is not as critical but ohhh how I love the sounds......gonna do some more tweeking on mine.......I think the styling is more an appeal to me than the speed factor.
