FYI -- N MS Toyota Plant Update

For any of you who were/are wondering about the new Toyota plant opening in N MS. Here's the skinny.

They were projected to produce the Highlander, an SUV. We're all aware of where SUV sales are at the moment. Many of us in this area, have been wondering whether the plant would even open upon completion.

At the moment, they do intend to open on schedule. What line will be run, is open. Here's the kicker... still in research The Hybrid Highlander, projected EPA rating of 50 mpg. If they can get it tweaked and approved, it will be produced in the N MS plant.

If not, they will retool...open as scheduled running another model.

Yes sir..that's it. And you can't really get a grasp of how big it actually is, until you get on site, for a ride around the plant and surrounding area. The walls may be coming up. But the floors are still dirt.

From the horses mouth. They are expecting 300,000 applications to be submitted. There's going to be a lot of disappointed folks.

But, there are going to be many residual jobs in outlying areas that will be support areas. JIT warehousing etc.

I suspect my home will triple in value within the next 3-5 years
