I'm not a big fan of gasoline under high pressure.

What would an estimated charge to do this? $35 bucks? $200 bucks?
Wimp!

I guess that means you are going to do it yourself and send MasterTech a check for at least $50.? They are pretty easy to change, especially on p/u s and high vehicles. Some have regular hose clamps. Ford has a quick connect type. Not sure about a Burb. I have no doubt you can handle it with ease. Hope you don't wind up like a walking Zippo.

Well the Wife The Nurse is traveling and I'm not sure the dog can dial 911.

I suppose I could crawl under and give it a look see.

However, I am inherently lazy.

You still haven't said what year Suburban . The newer ones have the fuel filter in the tank . Older ones either have a nut on each end or nuts on one end and a clamp on the other . Supposedly you need a "special tool " for the clamp but your fingers will work . Taking the gas cap off will relieve pressure . You'll still need a catch pan to catch gas when you disconnect the filter .

My neighbor has 3 Burbs. An 85, a 94, and a 2007. Went over and looked at 94. It has bolt on type. Looks like a flare nut. Should be real easy to relpace.

Just so you know, there are some filters that do need a special tool....it's a different connector than the one you referring to. You'll not use your fingers to undo the coupler. There are at several different filter setups on Suburbans depending on the year.

Now MT can have his thread back.

I'll look at it tomorrow.

Thanks
