My first car was given to me by my adopted family, the dad traded a gun for the car which was a 1994 Berretta. The second car was purchased when my then boyfriend at the time total the Berretta which was fully insured. To be fair, the accident was not his fault he was hit by someone turning right from the left hand lane while he was in the right hand lane. The insurance paid out 3,000, lets just forget the car cost 5,000 a year earlier...

So I went searching for a car, decided to check ebay, wanted a sportier car so I was looking at Mustangs, Camaros, and Dodge Stealths. Saw an ebay listing for a Camaro Iroc not too far for 3,000... and like a nut case hit the buy it now button because I liked the way it looked and the paint lol. I knew nothing about cars then.

Never regretted hitting the buy it now button.

1. My parents gave it to me after my dad failed to pick me up from work. It was 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara that was traded in after too many problems. I couldn't drive anything in my parents fleet as they were all lexuses. However, my dad did let me drive his SC430 to Miami with him. The car I learned on was a 98 Dodge Durango.

My first car was a 1976 Toyota Corona Mk II. It belonged to a family friend from whom my dad bought it for around $300 (this was in 1995.)

The second car I bought myself the following year when I moved to the United States. That car was a 1983 Lincoln Mark VI for which I paid $750.00.

My first car that I bought with my own money was a 78 Mustang II. It had as much bondo in it as paint and the exhaust was made entirely of plumbing pipe. Man, we had fun with that car. Did you know that 8 people can fit in there? I had no idea who was shifting, it wasn't me. It was totaled out by a chevette that drove away with no damage. My second car was a chevette.

Ahhh the memories!! .. my dad co-signed a loan for me to buy a 1979 Yamaha 650 in late '81 and not long after I paid it off a friend of mine that owned a 1975 Duster Custom decided he wanted a bike so we swapped straight up. Not sure who screwed who in that deal. He put major bucks into the electrical system on the bike and my dad did a lot of rebuild on the front suspension of the car, lots of tinkering under the hood to get it to run right and put a new paint job on it for me..... LOVED that car ... wish I still had it.

My Dad bought a 1949 Chevrolet pick up for us to use on the farm, but I got to drive it most of the time. Paid $750.00 for it. I drove it from 1961 to 1965 to school, work, eveywhere. Lord I miss that pick up. Dad sold it in 1968 for $750.00. Pretty good deal. Anybody here know how to start a 1949 Chevrolet pick up? Just a question as I notice most here are early 60's or later.

yes you take your right foot and push the starter button on the floor. oh yes turn the key to on ,and pull the choke cable out.on some you had to turn your foot sideways and push the starter and gas feed at the same time
