| What car would you buy for under $25k? Im wanting to get a new car. I want to keep it under $25k. I wont buy a truck, van or sport utility. Im thinking about a new VW GTI 1.8 turbo or a Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS sedan which is 4wheel drive. What CAR would you buy for under $25k?

| Well, I'm a pickup guy, but if I WERE looking at a car, it would be the new Dodge Magnum/Charger. Having said that I would choose the VW over the Subaru.

| Re: What car would you buy for under $25k? I too would say look into the Toyota's. I used to like the FORD Taurus...but that's no longer. I have been a pick-up girl forever....guess I'll scrimp and save for the GAS money to fill it! |

| Re: What car would you buy for under $25k? Well, Toyota's are an exception in my book. I have a 14yr old Paseo still driving back and forth from Dallas to San Antone. =) |

| Re: What car would you buy for under $25k? My dad has a 2006 VW Jetta TDI and it's a very nice car. Lots of thoughtful touches like a quick touch 3 flash lane change feature, lever actuated cruise control (pull to set, resume, push to turn off, tap up to speed up, tap down to slow down), a red LED light that projects soft background light onto the center dash controls, air conditioning vents in the center counsol for the rear passengers, radio the previews the next frequency available and one touch power down for all windows on the drivers controls with power up on the drivers window (you can also roll all the windows up and close the sunroof if you have it by inserting the key in the door lock and turning it to lock and holding it).

always buy 1-2 years old at the least, car loses 20% of its value the second you leave the dealer with it. Run synthetic oil also... Run the oil weight reccomended by manufacturer.....I have talked to so many people with these new cars which call for 5w20 running 10w40 because it does not seem right to them. K |
