I was on Vashon Island to pick up a load of K2 skis several years back and in the parking lot was a Caddy that had been put on a 4X4 chassis, probably a Blazer. As goofy as it looked, I have to say it was well done, for what it was. No hack job.

What's the secret? Using less heat?

No, and I've never done it myself, but a very good friend who's a master mechanic used to do it. I'm not sure I'm allowed to put that info here, though. Liability, you know.

I don't even know how to weld, so I personally wouldn't try it. I understand what ya mean, though.

when I worked for a courier company in California, all the cars were Yugo's.. I remember one time calling in on the radio and telling him my brakes were bad.. Went around the corner and the brake pad fell out into the street.. I could not stop laughing....God, that was a piece of ####.

btw, I have owned a pinto 1980 baby blue.. and I took that car everywhere, even got stopped by 2 police cars because I was going 85 in a 45.. had to pee... lol... didn't get a ticket because the cop was laughing...
