| Got all the pics together of everyone in my family and made a VCD with titles of vehicles & their drivers going back to 1937!! Really neat to see it put together over REAL time period---sent out 15 copies to all, who loved it!! Have had several vehicles over my life (1960 'Falcoon' was 1st in HS) but here are some of my most memorable: 1967 Chevy Camaro, Canary Yellow with ALL black interior bucket seats, 327 CI, 4-bbl, dual exhausts, 300 HP, spoked hubcaps (ala Jaguar look). Bought used (7K miles) when got out of the svce and took to college----formerly owned by Don Meredith of the Dallas Cowboys (for doing a promo), and was a chick-magnet!! My baby for over 20 yrs has been my 1984 Dodge Ramcharger SUV, the same type the U.S. Border Patrol used until it was discontinued! 318 ci, 4000 lb 'truck' I bought for driving the W. TX rutted oilfield roads. Needs 3rd paint job, dont drive much (gas hog at 12-13 mpg---carb'd) but take fishing & camping. My toy, is my 2004 Chevy 'Corvalier' (that's a 'poor mans' Corvette!) Sits as low as a Corvette, but with 2.4L DOHC Ecotek engine (redlines at 6800 rpms) is a mover!! Bought just to save mileage going back/forth Tucson-to-Phx, but really zips. Read somewhere on Inet, they put superchargers on them and run them at 160+ mph!! BTW: bought partially cause 95% assembled in U.S. with 90% parts made in U.S....!! | [quote=Jarlaxle;43094]Oh, boy, I have quite the fleet: 1974 AMC Gremlin X, factory 304/3-speed car. I paid $50 for it with a bad engine, grenaded transmission, and destroyed interior (complete with wasp nest, complete with wasps). It now has a rebuilt 401 from a 1975 police Matador, a T-10 4-speed, and will probably be getting a nice 6-71 blower this winter. My wife has: 1986 Grand National: 272 stroker, Art Carr TH-200-4R, rollcage, Currie 9" rear...truly a scary-fast car. Her first car. very nice (my boss has a sweet grand national. it is going to get a built LS1 soon but..) but a AMC GREMLIN !!!!! awesome ! you got a battered child of the line of cars ...very cool i seen a built one here in moore ,OK it iwas SWEET but any way i gave up my gas hog 2004 dodge dakota v8 last year for a 2007 dodge caliber --super gas saver!! and nice car for the 6month old but my wife has a 2003 chevy silverodo which got a lot better than my dodge dakota (thats why we traded in the dakota ) but i make up for the compat wagon (mini magnum ) with all my r/c cars ! |

I have actully looked into buying a one ton wih a 4 car wedge just to transport them due to the cost to have them all shiped, and I need a truck anyways. I actually traded the minivan of on a new toyota yaris liftback. needed an fuel eficient commuter. 40mpg and only $12k I made a deal to buy the M715 once Iget to TX. and I bought another cj7 jeep. I'm sick, I need help Oh but I did sell the mercedes and my cutlas is a 75. I listed it as a 74 by accident. |
