| My babies: 2006 Pontiac G6 SE with a 3.5L V6 which is marketed as "..most horsepower of any vehicle in its class". I bought it in Feb. with high miles (29K) and it's now got 46000 on it. I'm averaging 28-30 mpg (mpg gets worse as oil changes near). I'll probably keep it until it dies, which will hopefully be well after it's paid off. 1991 Ford Explorer Sport 2 Door 4x4 with a 4.0L V6 5 speed manual tranny and over 200,000 miles on the chassis (about 100k on engine rebuild). This vehicle is the best money I've ever spent on any vehicle I've ever owned, hands down. I bought it in '05 for $1400 bucks. Other than a new heater core, thermostat and starter I've not had any problems on it. It's now sitting on 29" tires with 15" wheels. Anything bigger and I'll hafta put a lift on it. I've driven this "truck" all over the midwest including trips to Iowa, Michigan, and Texas all returning to Illinois without incident. Fuel mileage is about 22mpg highway. I couldn't bring myself to trade in "Old Faithful" when I bought the G6. Since February, I've had several people offer to buy it and turned all their offers down, even the $3000 offer made by my neighbor.
