My babies:

2006 Pontiac G6 SE with a 3.5L V6 which is marketed as "..most horsepower of any vehicle in its class". I bought it in Feb. with high miles (29K) and it's now got 46000 on it. I'm averaging 28-30 mpg (mpg gets worse as oil changes near). I'll probably keep it until it dies, which will hopefully be well after it's paid off.

1991 Ford Explorer Sport 2 Door 4x4 with a 4.0L V6 5 speed manual tranny and over 200,000 miles on the chassis (about 100k on engine rebuild). This vehicle is the best money I've ever spent on any vehicle I've ever owned
, hands down. I bought it in '05 for $1400 bucks. Other than a new heater core, thermostat and starter I've not had any problems on it. It's now sitting on 29" tires with 15" wheels. Anything bigger and I'll hafta put a lift on it. I've driven this "truck" all over the midwest including trips to Iowa, Michigan, and Texas all returning to Illinois without incident. Fuel mileage is about 22mpg highway. I couldn't bring myself to trade in "Old Faithful" when I bought the G6. Since February, I've had several people offer to buy it and turned all their offers down, even the $3000 offer made by my neighbor.
