| ALWAYS loved the TA, any color but hey I like speed and at 17 (years ago) they had it. My uncle had a black and gold one, he took it in and had the hood decal removed and painted on..a touch of class when all done! Love the muscle cars...right now I am looking for one to have for summer....ya know the one that makes the ground shake when ya start it up..LOL

| My cousin had one in blue with a spider painted on the roof not the hood. She is 8 years older than me and I thought she looked so cool in that car! Then she traded it in for the Fiero which I hated. Thought it was a cheap knock off of the Toyota MR2.

| I don't agree with the picks in the article at all . The Fiero was a joke and a rust bucket . The 2010 G8 pickup was a nice thought but we'll never see one . My favorite was a '64 Grand Prix . The early 60's Pontiacs were great stock cars and the early GTO's were great drag racers . I had a friend whose father walked into a Pontiac showroom in '65 , looked in a GTO and thought it was great Pontiac brought back a manual floor shift . . He didn't have a clue what he was actually buying .

| 01/02 WS-6 were the fastest Ponchos ever built, yes they in fact were faster out of the box then the LS2 GTO The Goats couldnt put down a 13 flat 1320 like the F-Bodys did on a regular basis.

| Don't remember power specs but the 65 Goat, 389, 3 duece was a fast ride. My uncle had one. Brought it home new from dealer, pulled the engine, balanced/blueprinted, added headers. Went to Bristol and kicked arses and took names. I had a 68 and a 74 Goat. Both fun rides. The 68 had the big motor but nothing else. Drum brakes, etc. It almost got me into wrecks several times. It would go 4 times faster than it would stop. Sold it to a guy that intended to frame off rest it, install the bigger sway bars, f/r disc brakes. Never saw it again though. The74 was a Ventura body with the T/A hood scoop. 400/four barrel, front disc/rear drums, all suspension parts were SS Cevy Nova. It wasn't a world beater, but a respectable ride. Handled crisply/dependably. Thanks for the memories. Dave |
