www.centraldispatch.com and www.uship.com if you want to do it for nothing.
-
and if you won't do it for nothing?
-
i would look at copart and check with the agents/brokers, this is a very large company that auctions repos and other stuff like donations and a bit dinged up that other people buy and need transported.
-
I would avoid copart, they also want you to run for almost nothing. Been there done that. Glad when we took the last load for them and called it quits.

i saw a couple days ago on central cars from Miami Fl to LA at 800 ? that is just ridiculous
-
Can someone with historical experience provide me some input on car hauling rates from east to west coast and back. From looking at central dispatch it looks like the rates are ~$1,000 per car going west and about ~$800 going back. Are these the rates that have been out there historically, were they higher/lower, how much do they fluctuate.

Sorry Boys and Girls .... but I've gotta say this:
Go Union !
United we stand, Divided we fall.
Brokers and company drivers alike. Good pay .... low damages. This is probably stiring the pot, but it is what it is. You've all said it yourselves. The shippers are dictating to YOU. Not the other way around.
I know I'm beating a dead horse here, because Unionized car haul is dead.
The numbers are proof of that.
Car Haul is unique and speciallized. Period. Damaging a box of facial tissue on a van load is cheaper then taking off the bumper from a Porsche 9/11. Right ? That sort of damage will bankrupt a broker. You wanna haul that Porsche from NYC to LA for $800 when the scratched bumper costs you $1,200 ?? Hello ?
Anyway, I'm just sayin.
If I was to go back to being a broker, it wouldn't be in car haul. As much as I like it here, nope, not gonna happen as a broker. I know of to much misery then happiness these days.
SLWillametTrans Industries Thanks this.
