    Hi,
    Are you looking for real pointers or to be told what you want to hear. Obviously you have read through this thread and the drawbacks to putting a p/u truck in the place of a real piece of equipment, and still that is the route you want to take. P/U trucks are great for taking your boat to the lake or your camper on a trip. They ain't meant to do this type of work, and you will need an anchor on a rope to throw out the window when you want to stop the thing.

    I would say if you are set on a dually, Look into a Dodge 5500 or Ford F-550. At least they have way better brakes than a 350/3500 class truck and can still pull double duty as a personal vehicle. Like the other guys said, a tractor would be best though.
