Just finished my first week training last week. I've never hauled cars but am liking it so far, I was doing foodservice before this and prior to that had my own truck for five years and have had my cdl for @11yrs. I was put on a truck hauler hauling the big stuff but like it so far. I was able to load my truck on my own on my fifth day in @2-2.5 hrs which I'm told is nothing to be ashamed of. Plan on doing this for quite awhile as I like it so far and am happy I made the the switch to this part of the industry. Just figured I'd post a hello as I've been lurking reading posts here for about amonth.

Keep at it. It gets easier with time as you get more experienced. The $$ makes up for all the headaches. Just make sure you inspect the units deligently. Best advice I ever got from a veteran car hauler 1) it's not what u know but what u can prove 2) you are only as valuable as what you haul. Be safe

Thank you for the update on how your doing, I am currently a flatbed driver and plan on becoming an auto hauler, I was just looking into jack cooper as I called moore transport and req 2yrs. They said they get there drivers from jack cooper, united road and I forget the others but jack and united are what I'm looking into right now, I hope I can make more then .34 a mile.
