Been a diehard 7.3 fan hauling my 3-4 wedge forever, thinking of replacing it with a Kodiak, 6.6 duramax. Never see any wedges getting hauled with these trucks. Really need more truck but don't want to getstuck with something I don't like. Anybody using a C4500 or C5500 with the 6.6? My concern is if it has enough power with the extra weight of the truck. Thanks for any input. Dan

I've got a friend that had one and he said it's underpowered and he's not even pulling a trailer.

Never been a fan of the D-Max. Finding a stock truck that's not underpowered is tough unless you spend some money and get a newer truck.

Youd probably almost be better off upgrading your 7.3 if your wanting more power and not more truck. A 7.3 can be respectable with some aftermarket goodies. Do you have the 94-97 or 99-03 7.3L?

No in need of more truck for the stopping, have enough power. 7.3's have been great set the cruise, I think the Kodiak is great, just not sure if it has enough to pull a big load with the weight of the truck.
