I pull a 3 car wedge trailer with a 2011 ford f-450 and fairly new to the Industry. I just got new tires and spent a fortune. Doing some research and saw I can get hub adapters to get 10 lug wheels and get simi wheels and tires. I also see that I can get 8 lug 19.5 wheels and put on heavier duty tires. Any thought? What do you use and any tips.

    Thank you very much.

Price some new 22.5 wheels and tires and then figure out how many regular tires you can buy for the same price.

IHMO i would not waste my time on adapters. if your towing i would just have a set of wheels made in the 22.5 wheels made in your bolt pattern. would be cheaper and SAFER.

Those adapters come lose over time.

Those adapters are right pricey also, would like to put a set of wheels on mine but just cant justify the cost yet. A hotshot driver told me he could get 100.000+ miles per set of tires I only get around 45.000 on the 16".

i put on those 19.5 wheels, its true you get more miles out of them but your suspension and your body pay the price. Lot more air pressure and stiffer side walls

2011 f450? It doesn't matter what tires you get as they will most likely outlast the truck!

    fredster559,
How are they when loaded ? Did you find some to fit without adapters ? How much air did you decide to run ? Can you tell that I'm excited about doing the same ?

they look nice when all bolted up , no adapters .and i ran around 80psi in town but when loaded would air up to 100. Have not replaced tires since i have mounted them and i will tell you this they are starting to get cracks on walls because carcass are old, but still have lots of life left on treads
