Are you serious? These guys have loads posted on central from southern california to the Dallas are for $300 per unit!!!! This is getting out of control. We as auto transporters have to do something about these bad brokers. The thing to do is boycott them one at a time. Who can actually operate a successful auto transport business at $1.73 per mile? Isnt our time and labor worth anything? I mean we do more than back up to a dock and swing the doors open or closed. Dont you wanna drive equipment that you are proud of and is maintained properly? Im certian you cant do it at these prices. No matter how cheap you live in your personal life this is cheap. I know they mostly have auction and dealership freight as its "easy", but seriously?! Dont be lazy, fight for what you are worth. The way to do it is to boycott a bad broker for a period of 30 days. Move none of their freight. If we do this one broker a month we will not hurt ourselves but hopefully will open their eyes that they either need to be charging more to their customers or give more to the trucker. Remember, they are mostly brokers who dont own trucks. They cant move the vehicles without us. 30 days will hurt them

Don't haul them, the price will go up after they sit and no one will move them. United Road keeps sending me emails, 75 mile transport for $50/ unit, haul as many as you want, sounds good till you figure out you're running 150 miles for $50/ unit, plus all the loading and unloading time. You'd make more money begging on a street corner when it's all said and done.

They are owned by Adesa. Well officially Adesa purchased Openlane & along with that came the Cars Arrive Network. The same as what Cox Automotive who owns Manheim that bought Ready Auto Transport.
Peculiar that both of the major brokerages in Phoenix happened to be picked up by the big guys huh?

Unless buyers are screaming with a fist full of cash, those rates will remain as there plenty of idiots who will say something is better than nothing & roll out with that cheap crap loaded.

Thats what Im talking about. Something is better than nothing until its the only thing. Trust me the brokers are sitting around and watching what freight moves and for how much, then sit back and laugh at the idiots who haul for cheap. Its almost a game amongst the brokers to see how cheap they can get transporters to move cars. We do broker units we cant haul. But, I never put a car out there for less than what I would haul it for. Competition is healthy but dont drive the rates down. Let your service and avalibilty set you apart. Manheim and Adesa can surely afford the hit to their profit margin until their rates improve. Maybe then they will pay for the service. Ill be the first one to call for a boycott of Cars Arrive network for the month of January 2015. Its for our own good

    .
totally agree. i'm fighting with low rates for last few years. every time i'm asking for more money. this is why i lost many customers. too many idiots on the road now, they don't know what they do.they even don't know elementary math. they are doing something because someone else doing this. i think, this year will be fatal for us, like was in 2011-2012 before "Sandy".this storm was reborn our business just for while, and too many new people came to this business, because rates was too high at this time. now what we have? expensive insurance and very low rates. of course brokers won't pay more money, because someone will do for cheap. how many car haulers i see does some ######## like hide license plate for avoid pay tolls. i hate this situation

It's a race to the bottom ....... same as with the general freight industry when de-regulation happened. Cooper taking over Allied was supposed to stabilize the market. Instead, the new Cooper has been losing market share hand over fist.

I know there is always going to be someone who will do it cheaper. But the fact remains they cant do it cheaper forever. Things like maintenance will catch up to them. Im trying to do everything I can to save the business I love. I like being a car hauler Im just not willing to starve for it. Please join with me on this boycott of Cars Arrive network for 30 days. January 2015. Only we can change this. One bad broker, dealership, and shipper at a time

Well, Manheim Atlanta might be a little short on money, went to pick up a Porsche Panamera Saturday night and someone stole the keys out of it, that'll cost them around $3000 to fix, by the time they tow it to a dealer, buy the keys, and pay the labor for the programming.

I just booked one tonight from Cars Arrive for like $.75 a mile. As I said earlier, just let those cheap ones sit, they have extra money put aside to move these, they just try to get it done cheap first.
