Had a guy wanted me to pick up a car in Philadelphia and bring it home for him 90 miles north. Did the MapQuest thing and found all the one way streets so no surprises and off I go. 9:30 AM I take off and get there around 11:30. Driving in the city of Brotherly Love is a true joy and adventure. Somalia has better roads. Hell drivers and crazy people walking out in road. Boy was I in for a surprise!
He said it was a Buick; never mentioned it was a 1942 Buick Special! This thing was parked in a garage since 1969 and was now going up the turnpike at 70 MPH (on my truck, of course,) and you should have seen the people breaking their necks to gawk.
I'm into cars and this isn't really my kind of old car but got home and looked it up. Come to find out 1942 was the year that Buick
shut down civilian production to make TANKS for WWII. So this little gem is real rare, as they only got around 2000 done before the switch over to military production. So I saved another one from the crusher today, and glad I did. Saved some history with it, too.
Happy Motoring,

rolls canardly here,
Yeah, I got pictures - 4 of them. First I was thinking no one would care to see them.
Problem with all this technology is I am an old fart born in the early 50's.
I sure will put them up; if I get how to do it? I guess I need a wire from my phone to my computer?
Somebody said I could send them on an E-Mail to myself? I will figure this all out and post them.
The Old Guy used to say, " I never met a man worth lying to." He was right; what's the point? -

I tried all of 3 hours last nite to post the pictures;
