Oooh... I don't even haul cars and I think that's a beautiful setup... Just...makes a tear. -sniffle- come to your eye you know?

...'scuse me. I need to go find a tissue.

(Im being serious. Except about the tissue and sniffling. Just got some road dust in my eye...:biggrin_2553:)

I think you can, I know you can get the Vocational truck nose with the 430, don't see why a 630 would be a big deal. Just checked only listing the VHD 430,

Apparently you can do a 630 mid roof, but you need to order in advance and pay thru the nose. 3rd hand info. Unable to verify.

We've talked about possibly trying one or two. The gremlins in the cab controller of Volvos are little spooky to read about, but it can't be any more of a shop queen than these dang ISX's! Not too mention we haven't found a decent shop for doing warranty on the Stars. And the boss is a no-go on Pete's, they want to much for the roof chop and they're just too dang small in the cab.

I've been thinking of volunteering to be a guinea pig...

Are those cab controllers anything like the Cascadia "SAMS" modules?

If you are into AMT's the good thing about the Volvo's is the I-Shift is a no cost option.

I'm not sure, I just know they control everything inside. I'm guessing they must be multiplexing the switches and stuff to simplify the wiring.

I-Shift is the reason Volvo came up, he mentioned he might order autos next time around.

Yeah they sound like the same thing, basically? We did have some problems with controllers, but we never had any issues with those that were replaced, also, like everything else on these new trucks, it does seem like the newer you go the less problems you have.

I know some guys #####, but after having the newer ATM's I don't have anyone wanting a stick, at least not IF the shift parameters are set up right.

Big difference in mileage, and I suppose fewer clutch issues?
