Hello, I'm new here, I just about bought a big radio online the other day and found these threads while researching a "General Lee". Man am I ever glad I found this forum. So with roger beeps and echo being illegal, that makes most every Galaxy radio illegal. I guess I'll just stick with my old cobra 29 and get some good antennas and coax. Any thoughts on Mics?

Only 2 ood ones if your in a high noise level like a truck......
RoadKing 56 and the Astatic 636L.......Both are quality, are noise cancelling and work very well. The Astatic can usually be had for a little less money. I prefer the Astatic.

It is actually a federal regulation that you may not use profanity along with many other things on any device licensed by the FCC. This includes telephones, CB's, the internet, etc. You will never see it enforced though.
The internet gets kina dicey ... The FCC doesn't realy control it unless you are using a phone line to connect. If you are using a T1, Cable, or DSL that is owned by a private co.. There isnt much they can do about it. The net was built on anarchy, and due to its nature it will always remane that way.
