    Just my 2 cents ...

I have had 2 of the 959's and like them HOWEVER they are a bit large so my might look at a smaller radio but if you have room it is a nice set.

I figured I would at least get ribbed by you Bruce, but it's okay:smt064 All in good fun:biggrin_255: Hey noticed something else about that cobra...still has the wax in the tuning slugs from the factory. Just wondering where the previous owner had the radio for 23 years? A time capsule? A brand new 23 year old radio.:yes2557:Almost makes me not want to do anything to it.

Custom CB is a really good place to buy a fine quality radio. I have bought 3 from him and currently trying to decide on my 4th. I am kind fo hoping to aquire enough point from the flying J card and get the Galaxy 959 and sent it to Doug at custom cb to have 2290 finals installed. It will put out 120 watts with a 2 watt dead key. He is and ace in my bok with CB's.

The wax will leak out if the radio gets very warm ....TRUE ! :biggrin_2556:
It will not hurt anything but that tells you that it was in a car in a place like TAMPA .....

NO that does not tell you its a HOT radio :biggrin_25513:

Why would you take a good legal 959 and turn it into a trashy export ?

For the same reasons I bought a supercharger for my 2010 f150, It's mine and I wanted more power. Some say I ruined a brand new truck and you say he ruined a 959, It's all about perspective!! If you have not already viewed them here are a couple videos of the install and review, The first one may bore you as it's the install, The second is testing. http://customcbradios.freeforums.org/new-video-t22.html There are a few on air vids with nothing but flowers about these radios but, I have a feeling noone but you knows what a good radio sounds like. :)

You guys can make your cracks at him but I would put his radios against anyones build and he will win hands down. Just take a look at his videos and talk to him before your bad mouth his work. As I said before he is one of the few cb repair and builders that shows videos of what you are getting hooked to the meter.
