Re: Dayton Hamfest

A friend asked me to go to a hamfest with him a few years back.

Myself and two others went with him. We intentionally did not eat breakfast, because we wanted some good ole' ham biscuits.

We didn't see a biscuit or a piece of ham anywhere. Dang place was full of radios and stuff. The sign out front read "hamfest". The date must have been wrong. They even charged us to get in, and no biscuits to be found.

I shore was disappointed. I like ham biscuits and gravy.

We made our friend take us to the Waffle House.

Re: Dayton Hamfest

well i used to go every year but found it to be over priced and way to many people. i prefer the twice a year get together in belton Tx. what a hoot mostly people getting together the day before and haveing one heck of a good time and hitting the swap meet out side before the one inside opens the next day but great food and great bunch of people. can't wait to get home and make it a tradition again some of the best bunch of people in the world right there in belton tx twice a year. if you get there check out the 3922 group thet allways have the smoker going and more food than 100 people can eat and a good bunch of guys.
