    As you are heading on I 80E and come into PA, there is an ant. farm on the south side of the road. Any of you hams have an idea what it is????

    That is an antenna farm that belongs to a ham with too much money LOL... Those are setups for serious contesting and skip-shooting. It might be a clubs site too. I have always wanted to stop and check that stuff out, but never had the time...

    Those are mostly Phased aray verticle antennas. Some of the best set ups you can get or make for DX work and that is a single individual i was told by some of the locals i have also wanted to stop and visit with him but haven't

    I've seen it, too, but usually headed westbound. There are others, but that one is most impressive.

    I would love to know how much money is sitting there in that antenna farm. Towers are not cheap, and neither are those antennas...

    Sure am glad somebody else said that. Really wanted to myself but..... :biggrin_25522:
    As to costs, would have to pull to the side of the road but am assuming the towers are either Rohn 45 or 55. If gotten used, probably not bad. Didn't count to see how many towers he had, am assuming all are less than 200ft since I didn't see any lights... I figure, 30 to 40k easy on just towers alone. Course, that depends on how old they are.
