New RK-56 or Astatic Mic

Been 5yrs and my roadking mic finally went out. Been debating on getting an astatic. Comments welcome.

Demand for a quality mic and technology that goes into making that mic. Professional braodcasters pay 1-2k for a mic.

Hams who can do as well. I remember reading once that Joe Walsh WB6ACU (The Eagles) has about $20k in mikes he uses with his Ham Station. Must be nice and I wish I could sing.......LOL

Have you seen what he has been paying on eBay for those old Collins boat anchors? I saw one that he bought for $8,000. WOW!
I truly wish I had one tenth of his radio budget...........I could live well for years.....

I do know that he, and Bob Hiel are pretty tight..........
