Here ya go deerslayer.....perhaps you could install one these little devices....into something like this.....
Or perhaps one of these...
Then sell them off as a "big radio in a little radio package".
The next best thing since the RFX75...hhhmmm.....

Doesn't sound like too good a deal to me for that thing...It's $55 and you have to supply your own Final, which a 2879 right now could cost you anywhere from $25 to $35...So even if you install this board yourself, your out around $80 to $85 right off the bat...
You can pick up the RFX75 kit for under $40, and it comes with Finals... -
I'd never buy anything from anyone that doesn't know the difference between "there" and "their." Here we go again though, 2.5 watts swinging to 100-150 watts? Why does this have to be so complicated? sigh..
-
Same concept really but like you said the higher price tag without the finals? Sounds like it will work better on the radios that the RFX75 doesn't work so well on and a bigger boost at that so maybe not as bad as it sounds. In most cases you don't see anywhere near 100 to 150 watts with the RFX75 even in the best of circumstances i.e. the cobra 29s. Interesting in any case and it will most likely catch on just for the simple fact you avoid the amp situation which personally I don't care to do.
Just my 2 1/2 cents. lol -
That cool idea but my 2290 alone in my galaxy already swings close to 90 watts. Kind of pointless for mine.

Tedjosh.c Thanks this. -
Call me slow but what's the complicated part? Just curious what all the hoopla is about.
I guess I see it from a different perspective and find it refreshing that people are out coming up with these alternatives to running more juice without going to the amp. Some may be good and some may not but at least thay are coming up with alternative methods and it's up to us the consumers to decide whether they are viable options or just another gimmick to line someone's pockets with some quick sales before they fall off the face of the planet never to be heard of again.
Ain't America great! lol -
Keep the heat in a separate box with a fan, and you'll have less problems to worry about. -
Just not a fan of amps. They create their own set of headaches just like everything else. I guess it's it just a matter of preference as to which set of headaches one wants to deal with.
I'm also not a big fan of people stomping all over everyone else pushing 500 or even a 1000 watts. The extra 50-75 or best case 100 or so I think is more than enough to get yourself out there and be heard without being obnoxious. Just my opinion of course. I think the RFX75 is just enough to get out and be heard. Can't wait to put mine to the test this week.
I'll let you know how much of an issue heat is with it but my guess is the heatsink will dissipate it quite well and not having any finals in the box I would think would lend to less heat inside. Maybe I'm wrong but that's my thinking anyway. -
2879's are soon to be obsolete, the Mosfet gang is riding in stronger
everyday.The future is indeed bright
