I am moving up to a brand new truck next week and I want someone to install my CB correct. I cannot believe the amount of CB shops out here and NONE of them have the same ideas as to what is the proper way to install or route the cables and such. East Coast only...95 corridor, TN I-40, FL, St Louis, PA-NC most the time.

    What kind of truck ?
    Stock Radio ?
    Hmmm?

Is there like some mystical configuration you have in mind,
or is it you just dont know how to work with the provisions already provided ?

    REDD Thanks this.

If you were to come 214 miles east of St. Louis, I'd do it.

How are the shops not running the cables and such correctly?

Well on 2nd thought the ones you're dealing with are probably too busy installing Bubbas super hack pack swing kit mods to virgin radios.

I think anymore it's up to the operator to tune his own antenna and hook up his own radio.

From what i understand it's only bad if it's tightly coiled, if it's in loops more than a foot across it should be ok. mine is in one big loop above the cubby holes. (07 century)
You might try setting it up yourself, all the info you need is here lots of help too!
    just my 2 cents worth.
