    Hello,

I'm going to be shut down for the weekend in Shreveport, LA. Are there any worthwhile CB shops here? All I really need is to get an antenna - with the appropriate bracket for these Volvos - a good coax, and to have the SWR tuned. Thanks.

I have never dealt with this place but I suppose you could call or stop in to feel them out.

Gave that one a call... turns out they quit doing CB work about five years ago, and only do guitar stuff now.

Antenna... to be honest, I really haven't decided. I used to have a Monkey Made when I was OTR the first time, but I think it's a bit of overkill. I'll probably go with a Wilson. I know they can be bought pretty much anywhere, but I want to get a hold of some Belden coax, and have it properly SWR tuned.

I would go with a Francis if you want economical for a price BUT well WORTH it. I prefer a Wilson 1000 but what from I read on here there quality aint like it use to be. Thats why I recomend Francis long as your not running to much power.

CB City is in Tyler TX. probably less than a hour from Shreveport off I-20. And they are the CB Antenna "Super Store" of the Country!

If you can't find a antenna in that place, you don't really need one!

Thanks! I'll check them out next time I'm in the area.
