Turnkey, I've done work on CB's for years. And those Mods "DO WORK". If you turn the pots to much you will lose audio. If you adjusted the pots without a meter or scope. Back them off.

I get what your trying to say. It's not necessary to take a radio to a hack and clip CB shop (which is what 98% of them are) just to get a little more performance out of your radio. CB tricks website is full of info for just about any radio and with a little time and a little bit of cash spent for equipment, you can do it yourself with out getting raped by some fool with a power supply and a screwdriver! -
Lol... hack?

I have a 29 LTD Chrome, That mic never worked well. Also bought a K40mic and it sounds weird after a while as well, Do you have any suggestions I waste more money on mics here than anything. My bro now has the SRA-198 and loves it.

I have been following a thread on the Palomar SL41 mic. It's supposed to be what's hot in the market right now. I have 4 mics as of now and maybe one more soon. I have 2 Telex 56 originals, I have a SRA 198 which I'm using now and love it, and a EV602 that I still have to rewire it to 4 pin mic and like I said, maybe SL41 soon.
wolverine11 Thanks this.
