I had a neighbor that used a base station with a signal so strong it came through my surround sound while it was off. After many attempts trying to talk to him and him doing nothing about it I called the FCC. I got a number to call and they gave me another number that had a recording. That recording said CB radios were not a concern. I called the other number back and they told me the same thing. Only after he moved was the problem solved.

By just using any CB radio you give the Gov that authority.

I think the current administration has tasked Uncle Charlie with figuring out how to shut down conservative talk radio.

Tin snips would've solved that problem.

Or, a simple straight pin. Just make sure it grounds the shield to the center conductor.:biggrin_25525:

Recordings amount to "one-way communications," which makes them illegal on 11 meters. Therefore, I doubt that the FCC would ever play one.

You are right....and since it is out of the ham band, and basically in no-mans land, they don't give a hoot. (talking about below 10 meters)
