Little late to this conversation, but I have a similar problem. Currently I have my antenna mounted on a bird perch on the passenger side. I done this to avoid pinching it over and over as if on the drivers side, it does ok on the pass side but I need to relocate it to the driver side so i can still run my fm stereo out of the pass factory mount. Question is : is there a good way to run the coax to the other side of the truck. I dont want to get so involved as to rerun it thru the dash. Im afraid if I leave it where its at the other antenna for the fm will throw off my swr. I read somewhere that u could run the coax under the wipers, but im concerened about the amount of heat that area holds.
