I had work done there and although I told dude not to mess with my frequency pots he did it anyway so I ended up leaving with a radio that was wayyy off frequency on sideband.
I stopped by the Petro on I-70 in Missouri to get it fixed correctly.
I forgot the exit I do know its west of OOIDA's headquarters.
I really think the guy needs new bench equipment not sure of his other abilities as far as tuning up a radio power etc...
Avoid the Exit 163 CB Shop on I-40 in Dickson, TN!

Another story on the 163 shop, my dad recently got a new Cascadia with his new company so he stopped in there to buy a bird perch. They were telling him he was going to have to buy $100 worth of stuff and that the bird perch's are weak and break! He said he walked out and said forget that! Lol
-
The bird perch is weak it will strip the hole over time what mods and cost are I don't know.
I took my CB in and cannot recommend them at all, VERY hard headed in my opinion. -
I have a question but it's not about a shop in Tennessee. There is a CB Shop upstairs in the Petro at the 161 on I-40 just outside of Little Rock, Arkansas. They run on Channel 13. Has anyone ever had any work done there???
-
I never had work done but just talking to the one time I thought he was an ### and over priced.
I'll let the being an ### go as any of us can have a bad day at anytime. But that doesn't change the high prices.
Example, galaxy dx88vhp used no mic no power cord $475
Galaxy dx66 $260
These were within the past month -
From what I can tell he knows how to fix kickers not sure of his radio repair track record nor the equipment such as setting your radio on frequency and or watt meter. In my opinion if any shop does not have a bird meter just kindly walk away because they are not serious about radio repairs and another if you see the place is unclean and professional looking on the inside again just kindly walk away and save yourself heart aches down the road.
I have been in plenty and if you really want a laugh just count and or go into the ones that are on I-40 alone from one end of the country to the other and you'll see why C.B. stands for continuous buying.
On a side note and not to endorse any one of them there is one that has a certified Cobra tech just before the i-40 split and I-81. I know this to be true because I had a radio that the good folks at Cobra's main office told me to go to for a radio repair that they stop producing. -

Oh, simply things like that should be no problem. Go for it!

The one I use (And have used for almost 3 years now is the one pictured. Mine has a Predator 10K affixed to it and have never had a problem.Attached Files:
