Ranger 6300 & Galaxy 88 CB's Hey guys I'm new to the forum. Well I have 2 questions. .......... 1st) I have a Ranger 6300 that I'm putting in my 02' Tahoe. I have a 2' Firestik on the roof. Is that antenna ok for this cb? 2nd) I also have a Galaxy 88. Its used with a chrome housing. I was wondering how much I can get for it. The thing is, my father had a few trucks and trailers. He past away so everything is mine now. Seeing is how I'm not a trucker (even though its in my blood) I sold the trucks & trailers but now left with a lot of truck parts and what not. I'll be really thankfull on any info on the 2 questions. Thanks guys

I can tell you nothing about the Ranger. Never had one, never shopped for one. A CB technician can make the SWR adjustments for you and insure your choice of antenna is a good one. If the Galaxy you mention is a DX 88 HL like the one in the picture, and it is a working unit, you may get a couple of hundred bucks for it (from the right person). A dealer probably wouldn't go that high, but an end user would get a fair deal in the $150 - $200 range. You mentioned chrome cover. That ain't stock. You may have a hot-rod radidio there partner.

dont mean to sound rude, but the DX939 is a piece of crap, dont waste your money on it...and its a far cry from a replacement of a Galaxy 99....your talking about apples and oranges....galaxy 99 is MUCH better by a long shot
