Ok, so straight off the battery with big wire, radios own wire, and amps own wire? Or a big wire with a splice to run both the amp and radio?

Unfortunately they do not make a 6 gauge wire, atleast not here. I know. I am in the process of wiring up my 4 pill amp in my truck. I wanted something bigger than 8 gauge but smaller than 4 gauge. So off I went to the car stereo shop to buy some wire....which is where I was informed there was no such thing as 6 gauge.

Yes, run the power wire for the amp, right off the positive post. Dont try to run an amp off your fusebox or your cigg lighter unless you want to see your trucks wiring have a meltdown. Also it's best to run your radio off the batt too.

If you want 6gauge wire just google 6 gauge welding cable.
It work well for amps. Google is your friend.

The trolling motor wire in a Ranger boat is 6 gauge. Might check a boat shop. (I know this because that is what I use to run my Texas Star 667V)

I found 6 gauge online in 25 ft rolls no problem......Bought one roll of red and one black.
Trolling motor wire would be perfect too.

Regarding the power outputs on your amplifiers.....Almost all models propaganda will tell you the amplifier output is higher than is possible with the components used.....
Check out the type of transistors being used, then read a specification sheet from the transistors manufacturer. For example, a Toshiba 2SC2879 commonly used in amplifiers only has a Power Output of 100 watts PEP at 12.5 volts. The transistor will however have a higher output at 13.8-14.2 volts if you can supply that much voltage to the device. I have to chuckle when I see an amplifier with 4 100 watt transistors rated at 650 watts!
