Ok I have a weird problem and wondering if anyone had heard of this!!!!! I just bought a new 2013 T660 and put my Cobra 29 (that only peaks at 22watts) Whenever I key up my engine fan comes on, QualComm starts talking, and all my light on my dash light up. I have changed all the antenna cables and set the antennas. Its not the radio because I have tried a factory cobra29 with the factory mic. I am at a loss and the dealership doesn't want to do anything about it. Any help

where did you tap the power source for the ground and positive? that is always a start. make sure it is grounded good straight to the battery if you can.

I'd go one step further and run a power cable (positive and ground) straight to the battery. See if it still does it then.

It sounds like you're getting RF into the power system, particularly the engine computer.

Another check is to have someone with a little power (50-100W) key up right next to you and see if that does anything.

Getting power straight from the battery cures a LOT of radio problems. Don't forget to fuse both lines!

    jaybird8125 Thanks this.

If the system in the truck is that sensitive you may have a truck that has a missing grounding strap that was not installed or properly connect from the factory. If you know other drivers with the same truck I would ask them if they experience the same issues. I seen this once and it was a truck that for some reason was missing some of the grounding straps.. If not you may also try some ferrite beads on the power cords close to the radio or even have them installed inside the radio. It's not always true that running the wire to the battery will eliminate the problem in fact depending on what is causing it, it may be worse. But you will not know that unless you try it so it's worth a shot.

The CB is factory mount so im assuming it is powered from the fuse box.
