Just wanted to post up a big thank you to a great shop with excellent customer service. If you're in the neighborhood, give him a hollar on channel 2.

I like him, sent him my DX99 for repair, align and tune. Less than a week turnaround.

many people take David the wrong way. he studied electronics repair at Devry university. he is a very intelligent guy and some people peg him for being a bit nerdy and even arrogant.

he is just straight and to the point. you cant ask for much more than that. and the thing that drivers fail to comprehend, is he is not in some truck stop preying upon everyone with a CB problem. that business is his bread and butter. it feeds him and his family. all you have to do is listen to him. he wont BS you.

    www.dtbradio.com is his shops website.

he is a hack im sorry I know a lot of drivers say he is good but to me I wouldn't take my kids walkie talkies in to have a battery replaced!!! this guy scwerd a radio up of mine then didn't want to do anything to fix or replace it... last I knew he was by the old chrome shop before that he was in the old western sizzler building.. at one time he was an the end of the get off ramp comeing from the turn pike to go north on 11 he moves around a lot fo being so good at what he does... what really funny about him his his favorite line is "the radio is over modulated" a few years ago I took a radio in to him that was from another shop in the area they wanted to see what he would do to it... he "peaked and tuned" it to his likeing... I set that radio a cobra 29 on the shelf for a couple days then had some one else take it back to him.. the radio was nevder used after it left his shop the first time.... he hooked it up and said it need work.. his own radio lmao

jking006, I call BS on your post. Dave is by far the most meticulous/anal/perfectionist technician I have seen out here in 38 years. Thats what I would expect from a Devry graduate with a degree in electronics and over 20 years hands on. I have never had better work done anywhere period.

As far as your post, you should NEVER disrespect anyone publicly if you have issue with them if you can handle it in person, phone etc. Since you have been there, along with many others here you overlooked something in your little tale that immediately tells those of us who have done business there that there is no truth in your statement. You know when you handed him the radio he opened a ticket and put the serial number in, then did the work, then you left. If it EVER comes back in his door when he enters the serial all previous invoices and comments pop up. At that time he would have immediately asked whoever brought it in why it was back so soon and what was the problem, and I dont know anybody who would put a radio that was just repaired a few days ago back on the bench and tell you his own work needed to be done again let alone Dave, if you have issue with dave and want to diss him no problem, just make sure that what you say is true and not some dance like this that any customer who has ever been there would know was not possible for the simple reason of the serial number records because ask any customer on this board if dave didn't have the radio in hand, enter it's serial number just before printing their invoice and have their serian number appear On the invoice for record. Nice try......

No, Dave is DTB radio, He is in the rear if the Sunoco/Subway building at the southbound get on ramp. Rick of Rick's Radio bought out Skip at the petro and is also an excellent diagnostic tecnician and a good man in general.
