Never seen a ticket yet for using the phone as hands free.
Rarely use the box because it is almost full of haters and nothing really worth hearing on it.
Do not miss it.

well franktaylor, to be honest about it all, it ain't. the way it used to be. It would take A whole new post to cover that discussion. In some parts it is better and other parts it is worse. But all in all when you step out on the Big Road you should have your cb on- even if all you hear is BS..it is still a tool just like your map book, which again should be with you when you step out onto the Big Road. Listen through the BS on your radio for what might be useful but keep your radio on.....
SheepDog Thanks this. -
You're preachin to the choir and those in the front row wearing earplugs....

The backup had been that way for a very long time. Fellow truckers seem to get a thrill out of lying about things anymore. You can keep it. I only have it on anymore for certain times when driving with someone.
What about the guys that use the computer for the gps?
Many of them will search google maps and get the info and not a thing wrong or illegal about it.
Ever hear of starting the app and then hitting the road?Chase05 Thanks this. -
As a student, I've been wondering about whether to "bother" with a CB or not. Here's my issue: It seems like there's the potential to hear some advanced warnings on traffics and whatnot ahead of you, but for that you have to have it on all day listening to idiots bicker. I'd rather talk to someone on the phone (headset of course) or listen to my radio. Can't really do radio with the CB on right?
Again, I haven't been on the road outside school yet, but I think I'd rather listen to the radio and enjoy myself during my drive than listen to idiots talk about nonsense hoping they'll actually warn about something useful (which many of you are claiming has become pretty rare now).
