XM or Sirius? I am looking for a satalite system and not sure which way to go. Also I heard they were merging but when I talked to the salesman at Best Buy he said that both companies were balking at the idea when it came time to sign. Anyway, I have heard XM but never Serius so any info on these would help. Thanks Nick

I had XM in a personal vehicle for a few years and to tell you I got tired of it. The music channels didnt play music that was really popular. The only channel that had popular music was a channel that you called in and voted for music, the top 20. All it was was rap songs. Sirius looks better in my opinion.

the news channels are the same on both, but the music from the decades channels sucks. and the term no commercials is BS as well. there are tons of commercials. the commercials are for other channels so XM says that they are not commercials. BS!

Sirius and XM are trying to merge, FTC wont approve it yet. And here is why Sirius is better than XM, the ONE guy that came up with the idea and technology for satellite radio is still involved with Sirius. The company he founded. XM has commercials on their music channels, Sirius doesn't. Also if you have kids this is great: [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.

| Not much difference, the music is nearly the same. I have both, one was a gift, so I use both. I think I like sirius a little better, only because the music on channel 19 is a better mix for my taste. I like the xm radio unit itself a little better.

Thanks to all for your input, I decided to go with Sirius, I only wish The Truckin Bozo and Dave Nemo shows were available. But I saw what everyone had to offer and talked to a few sales reps and decided on Sirius. Hopefully when and if they merge, I can pick up those shows. Thanks again, Nick

Xm Vrs Sirius I have Sirius and love it. You have to check out blue collar 103 and raw dog. My favorite channels. "Git R Done"

I chose Sirius because it had the NFL games. Sirius has footbal, basketball and hockey. XM has nascar and baseball. I think Sirius might be getting nascar but I don't really care about it.

I love my Sirius. It has Nascar, Football, Hockey, and all the music you could ask for.
