I have similar problem. When I key my mic I get a loud screaching sound through stereo speakers. I will try the suggestions you guys are giving RJParker. Any other ideas or is my problem the same issue a RJparker. Thanks!

Mine is opposite. I turn on the AM/FM/CD and the needle on my CB starts bouncing to the music and I get noise over my CB that goes in and out with the beat of the music. I have tried the chokes/filters, divorced the antenna setup so that the radio does not share the CB antennas, ran a seperate power and ground to the CB and the problem is still there.

Guys, people don't want to hear the truth because they think if they put the mod limiter back and tune the radio the way it should be that they will not get out with that big radio sound. So they would rather deal with the squealing stereo and or talk back, over modulation and bleed over because they think that all of that stuff is caused by using a radio with lots of power but that is not how it is! All of that stuff is caused......99% of the time by a poorly tuned radio.Mod kits/swing kits,NPC/RC mods, little coils spreed apart,a really low dead key or anything else that causes a radio to over modulate will do this. The other 1% of the time it is poor ground or cheap coax and antenna that causes it.

It never ceases to amazes me that guys will spend $500 on a radio for all the toys but cheap out on the coax and antenna when that cheap antenna and coax will make your big $500 radio sound like a Uniden Pro 510! On the other hand if you spend the cash on the best antenna and coax that you can find it will make that cheap pro 510 sound like a big radio!

My new Connex 3400HP caused all kinds of hell with the stereo until i re tuned the way it should have been tuned from the start and now i can talk and listen to the stereo at the same time with no problems.

I know you guys think i'm full of #### but the way it is,is the way it is.
