As far as I know, Buckshot at the 103 in Calhoun, La is closed &/or out of business. Does anyone know?

Otherwise, I have used Allen's right next door but the last couple of times I have used them, I have been terribly disappointed. I'll be leaving Monroe, La & going to Arlington, TX on New Years day (1/1/14). Can anyone recommend a really GOOD CB shop along I-20 between Monroe, La & the D/FW metro?

I have a small linear that I need looked at. I also need to get this linear matched to a new Cobra 29, as well as getting some work done including replace finals etc in a Galaxy 33.

    Thanks for any relevant input/advice.

Exit 287 business (Mansfield exit) off I-20 just West of Arlington, and go North about a block and there's Mike Kilgores CB Shop on the left...He's good with Amps and older radios...

Not sure on which number exit 287 business is, but Kilgore's phone number is: 817-478-2111

If your driving threw Tyler, CB City "super-store" is right off I-20...903-526-7838

CB City in Tyler, TX is closed. At least the physical store is. Their website is still active, though.

When I stopped in, a tanker driver was sitting in the lot working on his trailer. He recommended I go to the Calhoun, LA. shop I-20 at Exit 103. That shop is open, on the NE side of the interchange across from the 103 truck stop. Seems like an ok place to do business with, but they aren't equipped for a by the book tune and alignment (what I was in there for). I'd go there for a minor adjustment or install - they seemed like they were well equipped and able to do that stuff fine.

Figured I'd post this in the most recent related post from a search. Thanks everyone for the great suggestions in many posts over the past couple of years. I'm sure several of the others in the DFW/E TX area are still good.

Yep, CB City closed down their physical store in Tyler...so sad...It had to have the largest inventory of equipment of any shop I have ever seen....Which is probably why they closed the shop...Just too much over-head to keep that much stuff in-stock.

Least they still have the ON-Line store open.
