I'm thinking of pushing a kicker with my General Lee. I don't want/need anything over the top. Just a good quality amp to get me out there when I need it and still sound good. Nothing I need to jump thru hoops to get working. The radio DKs at 2 watts low and 12 watts high with 50-55 PEP. 250-500 watts is plenty.

Didnt you already say in other thread that you had a kicker or did i read it wrong..
Thats somethin i need info on as well..Im lookin to get around 500 down the road at some point..
So far i found out coax length matters to a kicker and that i would need a 4 pill...I dont know if thats even correct..

You read it wrong. I was considering it and set up my radio for what I believed was optimum for doing so. I see no one has any suggestions. That's ok. I have a pretty good idea what would work good after doing some research.

A 2x2879 (2 pill) will work with the General Lee, or even a 4 pill... You "can" run the General with one of the amps that has a driver stage like a 1x4, but I wouldn't recommend it, those box's were mainly designed for single final radios like a Cobra 29 or Uniden 68 or the Galaxy CB Radios that only swing under 20w's...

As for the jumper lengths...That's a whole other can of worms. Ask 10 people that question and be prepared for 10 different answers...

You'll hear anything from making jumpers in 3' intervals to just make the jumper as short as possible to making it 1/4 wave length and so on...

Me personally, mine are all different lengths, I've even had one that was only 4 or 5 inch's long, and they have always worked just fine...

Now if your wanting to set-up some kind of competition set-up, like running two hot antenna's or have two antenna's out of phase or even setting up a co-phased set of antenna's, then it jumper lengths become critical.

I'm running dual wilson 2000 antennas. How does this affect what I need to do? I'm not looking to have anything over the top. I'd be happy with 200 or 400 watts. Just like to be able to flip a switch and reach out there when I need to is all.

Looking at a 2 pill DaveMade. Sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. Any special power requirements I should know about? Exactly how does one go about setting this up? I'm new to the amp thing.

I just finished reading somethin earlier today about dave made amps...
Dont ask me where it was cause im on my cell and didnt save the review..
To this specific reviewer he said dave made amps are alot of hype by dave and its not near as advertised...
Do some more diggin beforw you spend your $ @daves..
He is not a company reviewing a ton of products or anything, just a fella who takes random products and tests them..He seemed to have a tech like back ground but thats all i remember..
