(He called me some names that if I repeated them here, I'd get my butt in trouble! LOL!) My hubby's dispatchers have avoided me like the plague since then.
I use to have my own cleaning biz before I started driving. I had this one guy working for me that was a drummer in a local band. He told me one day "I don't clean toilets, I'm a rock star." I asked him, "do you have a national recording contract, are you on national or international tours?" He told me "no", so I told him " Shut the (bleep) up, and clean the toilets, you ain't no rock star!"

It was always amusing when I would roll into the fuel island or someplace else and hop out of the truck. The looks I would get were always a laugh!

Using a first name is no more illegal than a CB handle is.

Red face

"Crash" here.

Went through a little spell where I just could not keep out of contact with objects at the yard, the truck stop, the scales, the house, the shipper, the customer and the list goes on. It only lasted for about 2 months. It sucked.

I don't use one anymore, a friend back in Oregon I used to haul logs with had my favorite handle. He got caught one day by the weighmaster over 100,000lb on five axles. Ever since he's known as "large charge". I like that one.

Back in the day about six months before I quit hauling gypsy wagons, I made it known that I was quitting to go back to milking cows and stay on the farm. Milkman was given me by the crews and has stuck ever since.

Johnny Lightning, Lightning for short. It was my dad's handle, for years. He quit using CBs, so I picked it up.

Running local, most of us just call each other by our first names.
