Can u daisy chain antenna cables without messing up the ohm's? An 18' cable won't get me to the back of the cab where I would like to mount the antenna.
    Thanks for any info,
    Jason

Do you mean splicing the cable to extend it? A Daisy Chain splits one cable to multiple cables. A true daisy chain will reduce the ohms.

They make what I call a "barrel" that connects both male ends. When I was into pro audio this would slightly degrade the signal & was wondering if this would happen with antenna signal?

    Thanks for your reply,

It would probably just be easier to order the length of cable you need instead of trying to put two of them together. The less splicing/connections, the less possibility of loss or error in the line.

Yes, a barrel connector will work just fine. There will be a small impedance bump, but the loss will be negligible.

Yup a barrel connector will work, I would suggest you seal the barrel and connectors with one of the products made for that purpose. You can get at a radio shop. Just as good, in my opinion, liquid electrical tape. About 10 bucks at home depot and you will have lots left over.

This will prevent the one common drawback of using a barrel connector, moisture from condensation/weather in the connection. This can adversely affect the ohms in your co-ax.
