Ok then. Anyway, echo was 80 dollars installed the last time I messed with it.

The above posters have heard it for years. You might try reading. Said it could be ok if not abused. Turn it up high and sound like ducus. Blend in a touch and radio sounds fine. No one is getting any concert hall sound on CB. Least not Bass Center or any other hall I ever went to.

I seriously considered adding talk back to my CB but I have had 2 CB shop owners that I trust highly tell me that adding talk back will lower my output range so I declined.

I hate echo with a purple passion. All echo does is makes it harder to understand what you are saying.

And no, "just a little" does NOT make your signal sound more "natural". That is reverb, which is a very different thing.

Echo is to radio what straight pipes are to motorcycles... annoying to most everyone else.

    Please name these CB shops.

I wouldn't add echo to a radio if it didn't already have it. If fact I have removed Connex boards from Cobra radios. (and I sold my EchoMax desk mic.)

If you want echo, buy big can of juice, empty it and talk into it, if you want talk back, buy this, http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/251341669398?lpid=82 and go have a ball.

I've got a Galaxy with both and both echo and talk back are turned off.

Roger beep is a waste of money and annoying as well as any of the other noise making crap people put on their radio.

Half of these guys can't figure out why their radio squeals, they've got too much echo and the talk back is causing feedback but they can't figure it out.

If you want your radio to use echo and have that "concert hall" sound, then take it to a professional touring sound engineer to set it up, not Bubba with 3 teeth and a soldering iron.
