Does anyone know if Resse is still working out of the room on I-81 Exit 5 in PA ?
I have a Cobra 29 LTD Classic I'd like him to work his magic on. Any suggestions as to what I should have him do to it. I'd like it to talk and receive like a proud radio and not something with it's tail between it's finals?

Where does/did he work out of? I can do some checking next week. I stay at the TA there 4-5 nights a week, most weeks.

    Slow & Wide Thanks this.

Change the audio finals, FR finals, diodes in the clipper circuit, resistors and caps in the audio circuit, add a good noise cancelling mic, and align it for max crystal clear audio. I adjust the audio with a 1000 cycle tone injected and looking at a scope tune it up till the sine wave squares out, then back it down till the sharp corners fall off. I normally align the rf section for 1/2 watt dead key to max upwards swing, then back it off a touch. Always go for crystal clear audio.

Also make sure he setsup your antenna system. I personally like Francis 6' whips, but as long as your match is 1.3 or less you should be ready to rock.

Thank You for the come back Ms Jamie. Here is what I have copied and pasted from another post on here.

Well...to find out a little more about Reese, just simply ask other drivers on the radio or go in an talk to him. He doesn't have a web site or anything like that. The quality of his work generates ALOT of "word of mouth" business for him. Like I said, I-81 PA Exit 5. He works out of the TA motel there...room 127. DON'T LET THAT THROW YOU OFF! He's in there by choice...he'll tell ya why if you ask. It actually a crazy story. I hesitated for a while to let him do the work because the fact that he worked outta a hotel room just didn't sit well with me, until someone told me the same thing, "dont let that motel room throw ya off driver...he's better then Sparkys". Ever since then he's done all of my work on very nice high dollar radios. Anyway, you will agree once you go see him! Let me know after you do...can't wait to hear "you were right, he's AWESOME!" LOL. Anyway there are TONS of ways to know you just got a hack job...squeaking, over modulation, sounds hacked up to other drivers,, will not transmit/receive well, antennae light comes on, you sound "muddy" to others, not clean/clear to others, radio runs hot...just so many reasons! Hope you get by to see Reese soon... I really want to hear that "wow" from you. Lol.

Thank You so much for your words of advice Powder Joints!!!
I'm using an Astatic noise canceling mic. Wilson 2000 antenna with new coax running to it. I have only used the SWR meter in the CB which is reading below 1.5.

I'll ask around when I get back there in a couple of days. There's a guy working out of the tire shop just past the TA; I'm wondering if that's him. If not, I'm sure he knows what happened to Reese.
