I drive local and my boss doesn't want CBs installed in the trucks so I was wondering if there were a good handheld I can use in the truck?
Any good handheld CBs?

Yes, Midland 75-822. Here's the pic link,

You can plug it in your cig lighter or use the battery case and turn it into a walkie talkie.L.B. Thanks this. -
The midland 75-822 is a good radio but I've got a cobra 38 wxt and it performs great.

Thanks guys, it is a pain but my boss has a thing about distractions in the truck and I miss having a CB.

get a magmount antenna and a BNC converter cable end, otherwise reception and your transmissions from inside the cab will be terrible. Depending on the truck, you may have background noise issues with a handheld too.
-
The midland doesn't need a converter, it comes with a power adapter that accepts a standard antenna connector. The bnc on the top is for the handheld antenna used with the battery box on the bottom

Also, trying to use the handheld antenna inside a cab is useless, a good magnet mount is essential.

The midland also comes with two battery boxes. One for use with standard AAs. One for use with rechargeable batteries.

That's right. The coax pigtail coming out the bottom of the midland is a SO-239 connector which fits the PL-259 antenna coax side. External antenna is a must like L.B. said.
