Furthermore, I do not plan on making anyone use it! Only encourage the benefits of using it as an important tool in their normal day to day truck activity. This is something that should have been done many years ago.

I am not making this chart for you per se! Nor am I appealing for you to follow it! IF, there is positive response from foreign truck drivers in America to this chart; and they can be made aware of the usefulness of using the cb, any and all opposition from you will simply be overwhelmed and crushed!

I would say this is my objective!

    and do aim high!

I monitor 19 for info (or bs) just loud enough to hear over the stereo.....if I run into a buddy we flip to some other channel, usually 21, 16 is the pit in Kitchener, 24 is the pit in Paris....if I forget to go back to 19 leaving Kitchener, I get québécois info, still works, I'm still kinda bilingual lol....

"Road closed" or "exit now" should be understood by EVERY driver.....

Come on man!!!! Really! For some reason this post has you itching to find fault with it or myself? Since my OP, where have I suggested that I would charge drivers money or a fee to use a cb radio channel chart?

The media outlets I mentioned are organizations such as Randall Reilly, the Trucker, Trucker News and many other Trucking related media. I WILL BE PAYING FOR THE AD(s) MYSELF.

I hope that this brief explanation will help you to better understand the angle I am coming from.

You said you would start advertising it. That cost money on your end. The way to make that money is to charge for it. That's where I was coming from. Nothing against you. I just think it will never work. I don't have a CB yet so no use to me. Half of the truckers could careless the other half that do won't either because they don't know about it (lets face it, almost impossible to get word to EVERY driver). The ones that do know about it will either tell you others to learn English, since that is what is spoken here, or will be busy doing other things like driving a truck. Only way I see this working us calling the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and have them mandate this.

I think the first step would have to be to get drivers to turn the radio on when they are not in traffic.

I will just write the expense cost off. Again, I am not trying to make money on this! Third, it is to bad that you do not own a cb radio; all truck drivers (especially those OTR) should have a cb.

Having talked to many foreign drivers over the past four years "there is a major interest within these groups" they would never have to use or turn to channel 19; that is of course only if they wanted to.

Getting the FCC involved (which I do not want to do) would be useless in this case.

Last, and my most important point; "THIS CHART IS NOT FOR THE AMERICAN DRIVER"! It is meant to encourage our foreign drivers to feel comfortable using the cb radio, learn the emergency capabilities of using the cb radio and how to give help and to receive help using the cb radio.

I will also be encouraging young American (both men and women) drivers and our foreign host to learn Amateur (ham) radio. Every truck driver should know how to access 2 meter and 70cm repeaters using at minimum a handheld dual band 2m/70cm radio, set the +/- offset and enter the pll tone of radios.

Don't get me wrong. Neat idea and neat undertaking. I hope it works for ya. I'd actually like to learn ham radio so id be interested in that. If u don't plan on trying to scam people out of money I say good luck and I'll be interested to see how it works.
