    Had this COBRA 29 LX a week and it is messing up already , says its transmitting BUT IM NOT KEYING UP . IF IT WASNT FOR BAD LUCK I WOULDN'T HAVE ANY LUCK AT ALL !! SOMEONE STOLE MY GENERAL LEE AND NOW THIS IM ABOUT TO LOSE IT

    It sounds like the mic is shorted out of if you used the mic from the lee or another radio it may be wired up wrong.

    I've got 3 Cobra 29 lx's (well...one of them is a lx le) and never had any problems at all out of them...Could be like Ridgeline said, and you have a bad Mic...Personally, IMO the Mic's that come with the Cobra's are nothing short of junk...Get you a Ranger SRA 198 noise canceling Mic and chunk the Cobra Mic...You can find them on eBay all day long under $30 with FREE SHIPPING...
