So I recently got moved out of my Volvo vnl 760 and into a KW T680. I am currently battling antenna tuning problems with it. Anyways that is besides the point since I want to get my General HP40W hooked up and would be moving over to a Wilson Trucker 2000. My question is how are others mounting the antennas since they don't make a mount big enough for the mirror arms and a bird pitch is out of the question because of where the mirror bolts are.

im not to familiar with the t680 but if the mirrors are anything like my 09 pete 387 then yeah a mirror mount is out of the question.. I did what every cb shop I talked to said wont work... I bought what they call a "outback bracket" that bolts to the grab bar behind the cab.. I mounted it low on the grab bar and ran a ground strap from the bracket to the frame then I got a 102 stainless whip and put it on the truck with 30ft of coax I used a bunge cord at the top of the whip to keep it from moving to much... my swrs are 1.2 with a galaxy 44

Nice. What I ended up doing is a real pain in the ### but I took the bottom half of a Francis mount and put the top half of a Wilson roof mount then I took sand paper and stopped the paint off of the stock mount and put a flat washer in there and then ran a grounding strap out to the mirror bolt under the hood getting 1.5 on my General HP40W
